Cakes I have Created - More to Come!

This was a rustic-finish buttercream cake. The top was a chocolate sponge cake with a cherry filling. The bottom layer was carrot cake with cream cheese filling. It was interesting to make because I don't own square pans so I had to build it using a 9X9 and a 13X9. It turned out pretty good all-in-all.

The bottom two layers of this cake were fake and the top was a banana cake with a vanilla buttercream filling. The fondant had to be removed and replaced with a fresh batch because it was so hot out that it was cracking. I loved making it and was completely satisfied with the way it turned out. The statue on top had to be built up so it wasn't at such a strong angle. I think this was my best cake all year.

This was a chocolate cake with a hazelnut buttercream filling with crushed cookies for a wedding. I had a great time making the cake because everything went smoothly and I had no problems. I was super happy with how it turned out to!

This was a birthday cake that was a white cake with lemon custard and strawberry filling. Super fun to make all though it was time consuming with the individual stripes on the bottom layer. The flowers on top were super cute.

This was a white chocolate cake with blueberry and cream cheese filling with vanilla buttercream. I was really happy with the way this cake turned out. I used marshmallow fondant for the first time and found it quite interesting to work with. It can be quite fickle. It took a while to decorate this cake (especially the white turrets) but was worth every second.

This cake was a white cake with strawberry and whipping cream filling. It had vanilla buttercream and fondant. It was to celebrate a 1st communion. The bible and chalice were made of cake. Everything on the cake was edible except the ribbon.

This is a cake I did for a one year old's birthday. It was a bit of a challenge because I had never really done square items with fondant. The middle layer is a book but you can't see the pages from this angle. The figures were made of fondant and looked really cute on the cake. The bottom layer and blocks were chocolate with cream cheese icing and the middle layer was carrot with cream cheese icing.

Cinderella Cake - This was for a beautiful girl's 1st birthday party. It was fun to design and I thoroughly enjoyed decorating it. The carriage and castle was made of cake and rice crispy squares and the mice figures was made from fondant. This was chocolate cake with mocha buttercream.

Gus and Jaq

This was a cake I made to practice using fondant.

This was the cake I made for my sister's wedding. It was the first cake I had to make for a real event. I was in the wedding party so everything had to be done before the hair appointments. It had three different layers- chocolate with white chocolate buttercream, white cake with vanilla buttercream, and carrot cake with cream cheese icing.

Wedding cake with ribbon and fondant flowers.

This cake was made for my friend's baby shower. It was a chocolate cake with a whipped ganache filling. The figurines were all made out of fondant and really fun to make.

This was a cake for a birthday party. It was a chocolate cake with cream cheese icing. It was a huge cake and I hadn't made one in a while so I was a bit rusty.

This was the first real theme-cake I ever made. I had no real idea in mind so I looked around for ideas and came up with this. It was very rewarding to see the finished product because I had never tried anything like it. The grass was one of my favorite parts.

I made this cake for my boyfriend's birthday. It was comprised of angel food cake and a lemon pound cake. He climbs so I tried to make my version of him climbing. This was a rush job though because I had to make it in the few hours that he went to the climbing gym.

Super yummy coconut cupcakes with coconut buttercream and chocolate cupcakes and with vanilla buttercream. The color theme looked awesome and the cake topper was super cute and fun to make. I love the overhead shot underneath.

Cupcake tiers are wonderful for weddings because you can have a number of different flavors and everyone gets their own individual serving. There is no cutting required and it is cost-efficient for the budget friendly. There are endless decorations that can be done for cupcakes and multiple color options.
